Welcome!
Our organization provides services to the City and County of Grand Forks, ND. We believe in creating a culture in which all people have the means and the opportunity to make choices that lead to the healthiest lives possible. We facilitate policy, systems, and environmental changes that are supported by businesses, government, individuals, and organizations, all working together to foster healthy communities and lifestyles.
Grand Forks Public Health provides: administrative, environmental health, nursing, and nutrition programs and services.
The programs and services encompass health protection, health promotion, community needs assessment, health policy development, disease control, emergency response, disaster recovery, and more.
We educate the public to immunize infants and children, drink safe water, eat safe food, buckle up, place infants in safety seats, breastfeed your baby, and be a non-smoker. In addition, we provide nuisance control assistance with mosquito control, junk in yards, and rubbish in the community. We are also continually inspecting and monitoring community water and food supplies.
Our staff of nurses, environmental health practitioners, dietitians, and administrative professionals collaborates with other local, state, and federal agencies to deliver these programs and services.
